My name is Anjali Kaushik and I’m a cancer survivor. I know from my personal experience that from the moment your doctor confirms the positive results till you come out as a survivor it is an extremely difficult journey. I received lots of love and support from my family, friends and community which played very important part in my recovery but this was only one of the three major factors. Other more important factors were early detection and team of experienced health professionals. I was proactive about paying attention to my symptoms and reached out to doctors for tests. Result was they caught my cancer at an early stage and even though it was an aggressive one, early detection was the key to the successful treatment. I can’t stress enough that PLEASE don’t ignore your symptoms however minor they are and see a doctor. Early detection can be the difference between life and death
